Khairpur: A married woman was allegedly killed by her cousin in Khairpur, with the suspect later surrendering himself to the police following the incident.

According to the police’s initial investigation, the woman had previously left her home and entered into a marriage of her own choice. However, her family was reportedly opposed to the marriage and later pressured her husband into separating from her. Following the separation, the woman was married to another man.

Police said that despite the second marriage, the woman was unwilling to accept the arrangement and wanted to return to her first husband. Investigators believe this dispute led to the fatal incident.

According to preliminary findings, the suspect, who is the victim’s cousin, killed her over the ongoing disagreement regarding her desire to reunite with her first husband.
