ISLAMABAD: A report on the health of PTI founder Imran Khan and his meetings in jail has been submitted to the Supreme Court, stating that one of his eyes has almost returned to normal and that he and his wife meet every Tuesday. According to the report, 84 meetings have been held so far.
The two-page report was submitted by the superintendent of Adiala Jail to the Supreme Court regarding Imran Khan’s health and meetings in prison. The report also includes 24 pages of newspaper clippings and details of doctors’ check-up history to date.
According to the report, Imran Khan and his wife are regularly allowed to meet every Tuesday under jail rules. So far, 84 meetings have taken place.
The report states that the meetings are being conducted regularly in accordance with the applicable jail rules.
Medical Checks Conducted Three Times a Day
The report says Imran Khan’s food and drink are checked three times a day, along with his medical examination.
It further states that several government doctors have examined him.
Eye Treatment and Specialist Check-Ups
According to the report, Imran Khan has also received treatment from an eye specialist, and one of his eyes has almost returned to normal.
The report includes a summary of check-ups conducted by 39 different medical specialists between November 4, 2023, and August 10, 2026.
Request to Dispose of Case
The report has requested the Supreme Court to dispose of the case.
It also includes a reference to an assurance given by Salman Akram Raja before the High Court, in which he had said that he would not speak to the media within the jail premises after meetings.
According to the report, a media talk was held despite the court’s order, which amounted to a violation of the order.
