An anti-terrorism court (ATC) has issued arrest warrants for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders in cases related to the November 26 protest.
Arrest warrants have been issued for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi in four additional cases, while further warrants have also been issued for PTI leaders in cases registered at four different police stations in Islamabad.
The court issued the arrest warrants on the request of the police.
In Case No. 1032 registered at Kohsar Police Station, arrest warrants were issued for five PTI leaders: Sohail Afridi, Shahid Khattak, Salar Kakar, Saddam Tareen and Amjad Ali.
In cases registered at Ramna and Karachi Company police stations, non-bailable arrest warrants were issued for four PTI leaders: Sohail Afridi, Junaid Akbar, Shahid Khattak and Atif Khan.

In Case No. 1228 registered at Aabpara Police Station, arrest warrants were issued for nine PTI leaders: Sohail Afridi, Junaid Akbar, Shahid Khattak, Atif Khan, Meena Khan, Shafi Jan, Naseem Ali Shah, Iqbal Afridi and Abdul Ghani.
Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Abul Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain issued the arrest warrants.
The police requested the court to issue the warrants, stating that all the relevant accused were wanted in the cases and that their arrests were required for investigation.
