A husband and wife were killed in a firing incident near RCD Ground in Karachi’s Malir area.
According to police officials, the suspects opened fire multiple times on the couple’s vehicle. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
Police said the couple had contracted a love marriage and had come to Malir Court for a hearing. During the court appearance, the husband and wife also presented their nikah nama.
According to police officials, the couple was attacked near Saudabad while returning from the hearing.
Police said a case regarding the girl’s alleged kidnapping had been registered on May 19. The girl’s father had filed the case against unknown persons.
Police added that the girl’s father had provided investigators with a phone number from which calls were received on the family’s home number. He had also shared further information with police during the investigation.
