Adiala Jail authorities have obtained the signatures of PTI founder Imran Khan on power of attorney documents related to his medical examination.

Imran Khan’s lawyer, Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry, received the signed power of attorney documents from the jail authorities.

Chaudhry said the power of attorney is linked to a medical petition filed in the Supreme Court. He added that the document has been issued in the name of Uzair Karamat Bhandari.

According to Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry, jail authorities have directed them to come after Eid for the power of attorney documents related to the 190 million pounds case.

He said the documents and letter related to the 190 million pounds case were handed over to the jail authorities today at 1:30pm.

It may be recalled that on May 21, an important development took place in the Islamabad High Court regarding the appeals filed by PTI founder Imran Khan and former first lady Bushra Bibi against their conviction in the 190 million pounds case.

The Islamabad High Court had ordered that if Imran Khan’s lawyer was unwell, an alternate lawyer should be brought in; otherwise, the case would be decided on the basis of the available record.
