The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Corruption Circle Islamabad has made a major development in an illegal human kidney transplant network case with the arrest of a high-profile suspect.
Dr Shoaib Bangash, CEO and owner of Quaid-e-Azam International Hospital, has been arrested in connection with a case involving illegal and commercial kidney transplants.
Dr Shoaib Bangash has been accused of allegedly facilitating and managing activities related to illegal kidney transplants. The FIA investigation will determine the possible role of the hospital administration and other individuals in the alleged illegal kidney transplant activities.
Six suspects linked to the illegal kidney transplant network have already been arrested. Those arrested include kidney transplant surgeon Dr Nadir and transplant coordinator Adeel Shirazi.

The post-arrest bail applications of the arrested suspects have already been rejected by the Islamabad High Court.
The arrest of Dr Shoaib Bangash marks a significant development in the investigation into the alleged illegal human kidney transplant network. The arrested suspect will be presented before the relevant court to seek physical remand.
