Prison authorities moved into action after accused cocaine dealer Anmol Pinky complained of kidney pain while in jail.

Jail officials initially decided to have Anmol Pinky medically examined at SIUT. The accused is currently imprisoned in connection with 23 cases.

Recommendations were made to provide police mobiles, lady police personnel and an APC vehicle for her movement. Security was also placed on alert for her possible transfer to SIUT.

Sindh prison authorities issued a letter to police, seeking strict security arrangements. Jail officials also directed senior police officers to personally supervise the security arrangements.

Later, jail police said Anmol Pinky had been examined by jail doctors and was not being shifted to any other hospital.

According to jail police, the accused had complained of kidney pain, but doctors declared her condition satisfactory after examination. They said she would be taken to hospital again if needed.

Police said kidney pain had first been identified during her initial medical examination. Pinky is also suffering from eye and stomach-related ailments.
