ISLAMABAD: All benefits and privileges extended to Sardar Akhtar Mengal have been withdrawn following his resignation from the National Assembly.
According to the available information, Akhtar Mengal submitted a cheque worth Rs. 7.892 million to the National Assembly Secretariat to return the amount received in benefits.
Mengal had resigned from his National Assembly seat NA-256 Khuzdar on September 3, 2024. The Speaker of the National Assembly accepted his resignation on February 11, 2026, making it effective retrospectively from September 3, 2024.
The National Assembly Secretariat has also confirmed that it has received the payment in the form of a cheque.
