ISLAMABAD: Major General Faisal Naseer has been appointed as the National Coordinator of the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA), according to a notification issued by the Establishment Division.
The notification said Major General Faisal Naseer has been appointed for a period of three years on a secondment basis.
Establishment Secretary Nabeel Awan said the appointment was approved by the federal cabinet.
Major General Faisal Naseer will assume the role of National Coordinator at NACTA, the country’s central body responsible for coordinating efforts against terrorism and extremism.
The appointment comes as Pakistan continues to strengthen coordination among its law-enforcement and security institutions to address security challenges and counter-terrorism threats.
