ISLAMABAD: Inspector General (IG) Islamabad Police has reached Shifa International Hospital as security arrangements are being made in connection with the possible transfer of PTI founder Imran Khan to the hospital.
The IG Islamabad arrived at Shifa International Hospital to review and oversee security arrangements. Following his arrival, security outside the hospital was placed on high alert, while officials began reviewing the security measures at the facility.
According to reports, personnel of the Islamabad Traffic Police also reached the hospital as part of the security arrangements. Security clearance outside Shifa International Hospital has begun.
Vehicles parked along the road outside the hospital are also being removed. A lifter was used to shift vehicles parked on the road onto the footpath as part of the security arrangements.
The IG Islamabad was accompanied by DIG and Chief Traffic Officer (CTO), along with other police officers. The police officials are reviewing the arrangements around the hospital and overseeing the security measures being put in place.
The process of closing the road adjacent to Shifa International Hospital is also under way.
The security arrangements have been initiated in connection with the matter of Imran Khan’s transfer to Shifa International Hospital. Security personnel and traffic police have been deployed around the hospital, while officials are assessing the arrangements and clearing the area outside the facility.
Security has been placed on high alert outside Shifa International Hospital, with police officials present at the location and the adjacent road being closed as part of the ongoing arrangements.
