RAWALPINDI: Workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) clashed with each other during a sit-in on Adiala Road in Rawalpindi, where women present at the protest initially intervened to separate the fighting groups. However, the workers later became involved in another confrontation, during which an unarmed party worker was subjected to severe violence.
According to reports, dozens of PTI workers assaulted an unarmed worker during the sit-in on Adiala Road, beating him severely and tearing his clothes. Women participating in the protest intervened and managed to stop the altercation.
During the clashes, workers were also seen tearing each other’s clothes.

Shortly after the initial intervention by women and other people present at the sit-in, PTI workers again became involved in a fight. Two workers engaged in a physical scuffle, during which one worker repeatedly punched the other, breaking his glasses. The fighting also resulted in workers tearing each other’s clothes once again.
According to police sources, two workers were later taken into custody from the sit-in near the Adiala Jail Factory checkpoint. Both individuals are accused of allegedly consuming narcotics in public. The detained workers have been shifted to the Adiala police checkpoint.
