Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has said that Imran Khan’s health is his top priority and that there should be no politics over this sensitive matter.

Speaking to the media outside Parliament, he appealed to the government and the establishment to allow the Supreme Court’s decision to transfer the PTI founder to a private hospital to be implemented in letter and spirit.

He said the decision had come after great difficulty and prolonged efforts, adding that all sides should show flexibility. He said the government should not be concerned about the matter at all, as PTI had already provided every kind of undertaking.

During his conversation with the media, Barrister Gohar also urged his party workers, particularly social media activists, to remain cautious.

He said PTI’s social media activists should not take any action that could negatively affect the decision.

“I appeal to both sides not to sabotage this process,” Barrister Gohar said.

He also clarified that the PTI founder would stay in the hospital only for the purpose of his health and treatment, in accordance with his temperament.

Barrister Gohar said the government had filed a review petition in the Supreme Court, but it had not yet been assigned a number. He expressed hope that the court’s decision would be fully implemented.

He also thanked the personalities who helped arrange his meeting with the PTI founder.
