Anmol, also known as Pinky and widely referred to as the “Cocaine Queen,” was arrested on May 12 in a joint operation by police and a federal agency in Karachi’s Garden area.

Police later brought the suspect to court for a hearing, where a video showing her lavish appearance went viral on social media.

Saudi Arabia Praises Trump’s Decision to Delay Possible Iran Strikes

Saudi Arabia has praised U.S. President Donald Trump’s restraint and patience, saying his decision to give priority to negotiations instead of fresh attacks is a welcome step.

According to an international news agency, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan said in a statement on social media that Saudi Arabia welcomed President Trump’s decision to postpone possible attacks on Iran.

He said Saudi Arabia considers the move an important step toward reducing tensions in the region and advancing a diplomatic solution. The Saudi foreign minister also appreciated what he described as President Trump’s goodwill.

Faisal bin Farhan said postponing the attacks would provide more time for negotiations and give diplomacy an opportunity to reach an acceptable agreement that could help end the war, restore peace in the region and ensure freedom of maritime movement in the Strait of Hormuz.

The Saudi foreign minister also urged Iran to respond immediately and positively to efforts aimed at moving the negotiations forward so that a comprehensive agreement could be reached.

Separately, U.S. President Donald Trump said talks with Iran had entered their “final stages.” However, he added that further action could also be taken if Tehran did not reach an agreement.

Pakistan’s Back-Channel Push: Mohsin Naqvi Visits Tehran for Second Time in Less Than a Week

Pakistan is playing an active role through behind-the-scenes diplomatic efforts to help pave the way for possible talks between Tehran and Washington. In this context, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has reached the Iranian capital, Tehran, for the second time in less than a week.

Iran’s state-run news agency IRNA, citing diplomatic sources, reported that Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi had once again arrived in Tehran. According to the report, this is his second visit to Iran in less than a week, reflecting growing diplomatic contacts between the two countries.

In recent days, Iran has presented a 14-point plan in response to the latest proposal from the United States, while Pakistan is playing an important mediation role between the two countries in this process.

During his visit to Tehran, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also met senior Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commander Ahmad Vahidi. The meeting focused on bilateral relations, security cooperation and the regional situation.

According to Iranian news agency Tasnim, this is Mohsin Naqvi’s second visit to Iran within a week, and it is being viewed as an important development in the context of ongoing regional tensions and Iran-US contacts.

Earlier, during his recent visit to Tehran, Mohsin Naqvi held a lengthy meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. The meeting lasted nearly 90 minutes and included detailed discussions on bilateral relations, the regional situation and diplomatic matters.

National Assembly Committee Discusses Pinky Case, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf Clarifies Allegations

National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Interior once again took up the case of alleged drug queen Anmol alias Pinky, where former Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf personally appeared before the committee and clarified that the lawyer of Anmol Pinky had given different statements before and after mentioning his name in court.

The meeting, chaired by Raja Khurram Nawaz on Wednesday, saw committee members raise tough questions regarding the performance of institutions, media coverage, and the growing narcotics network.

Speaking on the matter, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf told the committee that the first video clip he received stated, “Raja Pervaiz Sahib, many people called asking how your name became part of this matter.” He added that within an hour, another clip of the lawyer was received in which the lawyer stated that Anmol had said she was being subjected to violence and pressured to take Raja Pervaiz Ashraf’s name. He expressed surprise, saying that since his party’s government was in Sindh, he could not understand why such pressure would be exerted there.

He further said that vloggers seek sensational content to sell on social media, adding that while such trends may not be completely eliminated, they should at least be controlled and limited.

Committee chairman Raja Khurram Nawaz stated that Anmol Pinky’s lawyer had mentioned Raja Pervaiz Ashraf’s name during a court appearance and asked officials from Sindh Police and the Federal Investigation Agency to respond.

Karachi Police Chief Azad Khan briefed the committee that Anmol Pinky had allegedly been linked to drug networks in Lahore and Karachi for the past 18 years. He said significant evidence, including contacts with foreign dealers, had been recovered from her mobile phone. According to the briefing, Anmol Pinky used Bykea riders to supply narcotics, while her two brothers and several women were also allegedly part of the network.

During the session, Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan criticized cybercrime institutions, stating that in many cases the media ends up solving matters, while police still lack modern forensic facilities.

Agha Rafiullah questioned how the matter would have surfaced if the media had not televised the court proceedings, while Tariq Fazal Chaudhry remarked that the media had turned the case into an unusually high-profile issue.

Separately, during a session of the National Assembly of Pakistan chaired by Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, references were made to alleged contacts between Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and Anmol Pinky circulating on social media. Raja Pervaiz Ashraf rejected all allegations being spread online.

Raising a point of order in the assembly, the former prime minister said that the woman arrested in the narcotics case had stated in court that she was under pressure to name him. He added that initially the same woman had also accused another personality. He stressed that social media should have rules and regulations to prevent individuals from being subjected to baseless allegations that damage their reputation.

Speaker Ayaz Sadiq spoke in support of Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, stating that everyone knows him well and that if such allegations could happen to him today, they could happen to anyone tomorrow.

Azam Nazeer Tarar said the government would go to every forum to protect the dignity and respect of every member and that strict action would be taken in the matter. He added that laws already exist and their impartial implementation must now be ensured.

Speaker Ayaz Sadiq further remarked that drugs are consuming the younger generation like termites, emphasizing that both federal and provincial governments must take swift measures to eliminate narcotics.

Sources said the arrested suspects have been shifted to the FIA office for further investigation. The network allegedly targeted poor people from underdeveloped districts of South Punjab, particularly Rahim Yar Khan and Dera Ghazi Khan.

ICC Reprimands Salman Agha for Sylhet Test Code Breach

Pakistan cricketer Salman Ali Agha has been officially reprimanded for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during the second Test match against Bangladesh in Sylhet.

According to the International Cricket Council, Salman Agha was found to have breached a Level One offence, which relates to inappropriate conduct involving cricket equipment, ground equipment or other objects during a match.

The incident took place in the 82nd over of Pakistan’s second innings, when Salman Agha, after being dismissed, struck an advertising board with his bat in anger while walking back to the pavilion.

Following the act, the match referee took action against him. The ICC has also added one demerit point to Salman Agha’s disciplinary record.

This is his second offence in the last 24 months, taking his total number of demerit points to two. Earlier, in March, he was also found guilty of a similar breach during an ODI match against Bangladesh in Dhaka.

Salman Agha admitted the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by match referee Jeff Crowe, meaning there was no need for a formal hearing.

IHC Denies Immediate Relief to One Constitution Avenue Apartment Owners

The Islamabad High Court did not grant immediate relief to 20 sub-lease holder apartment owners of One Constitution Avenue in their intra-court appeals.

A division bench comprising Justice Muhammad Azam Khan and Justice Inaam Ameen Minhas heard the appeals. The petitioners, including former air chief Mujahid Anwar Khan, former ICC president Ehsan Mani, former Senate chairman Wasim Sajjad and others, have challenged the court’s earlier decision.

The appellants challenged the judgment up to paragraph 30 for the protection of third-party rights. Advocates Taimur Aslam and Ali Raza appeared on behalf of the appellants, while Advocate Kashif Ali Malik represented the Capital Development Authority.

During the hearing, CDA counsel Kashif Ali Malik argued that there was a clear order of the high court regarding cancellation of the lease. He said the law provides that after cancellation of the lease, the building becomes the property of the CDA.

At this, Justice Inaam Ameen Minhas remarked that if that was the case, then was the committee formed by the prime minister illegal? The court asked why the CDA had not filed any petition against the committee constituted by the prime minister. The CDA counsel replied that he would not comment on the matter, adding that only the Attorney General’s Office could explain it.

Justice Muhammad Azam Khan observed that if the prime minister’s committee had not been challenged, it would become an issue. Justice Inaam Ameen Minhas also remarked that the rights of the owners had been defended before the Supreme Court as well.

The court asked whether any notice had been issued to the apartment owners to vacate the apartments. Justice Inaam Ameen Minhas observed that the owners were residing there when the lease legally existed, adding that if anyone moved in now, that would be a separate matter.

The court observed that there was no longer any issue regarding BNP, and that the matter under consideration related to the affected parties. During the hearing, the counsel argued that the CDA had no status for the apartment owners.

The court asked whether any committee comprising the apartment residents had been formed. The CDA counsel replied that no such committee had been constituted.

Appellants’ counsel Taimur Aslam argued that police were being sent and doors were being broken, therefore a stay order should be granted. He asked whether FIRs should now be registered against police officers.

Justice Muhammad Azam Khan remarked that the building was standing and was not going anywhere, adding that the court would ask the CDA what it intended to do. CDA counsel Kashif Ali Malik said the CDA Board would decide the matter in accordance with the law.

The CDA counsel further argued that if relief was granted to the third party, it would directly benefit BNP.

The court later directed the CDA to seek instructions and submit a written reply, and adjourned the hearing until May 25.

US-Iran Tensions Persist as Tehran Says Trump Understands “Only the Language of Power”

Tensions in the Middle East remain unresolved, as the parties involved have so far failed to reach a final settlement to the ongoing dispute.

According to an international news agency, the failure of the United States and Iran to agree on a peace deal has led both sides to use increasingly harsh language against each other.

Iran has once again issued a strong message to the United States, saying that US President Donald Trump understands only the language of power.

The statement was made by Ebrahim Azizi, head of the National Security Committee of the Iranian Parliament. He said the United States’ decision to refrain from launching new attacks was the result of Iran’s military capability and national unity.

In a statement posted on social media platform X, Azizi said President Trump’s hesitation to carry out new military attacks against Iran was based on one clear reality.

According to Azizi, President Trump knows well that any action against Iran would mean facing a decisive military response and a united nation.

President Trump had said a day earlier that the United States had postponed a planned attack on Iran to give diplomatic negotiations a chance.

Trump said he made the decision to delay the attacks at the request of the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, as there were possibilities of progress in negotiations.

It is worth noting that, in response to US and Israeli attacks, Iran has kept the Strait of Hormuz closed for two and a half months, leading to fuel shortages and a sharp rise in prices.

Trump Says US May Need Another Major Strike on Iran

US President Donald Trump on Monday has said the United States may have to carry out another major attack on Iran, adding that he was only an hour away from deciding on such a strike.

Speaking to reporters during a visit to the new “ballroom” under construction at the White House, President Trump indicated that an important decision regarding Iran could be made in the coming days. He also claimed that Iran’s leadership was eager to reach an agreement and was in constant contact.

Trump said he had come extremely close to deciding on an attack on Iran but postponed it at the last moment. Referring to the possibility of further action, he said, “We may have to give Iran another major blow.”

“I cannot say anything with certainty on this matter right now, but we will know soon,” he added.

The US president said the situation regarding Iran could become clearer within the next two to three days — by Friday, Saturday, or early next week. He said time was short, but the United States would make a decision soon.

Trump again referred to his meeting with the Chinese president and claimed that China had promised not to provide Iran with any weapons or military assistance.

During the same interaction, President Trump also showed the media the construction work on the historic ballroom being built at the White House. He said taxpayers’ money was not being used for the project and that he was personally bearing all expenses.

Trump described the building as his gift to America, saying it would be “one of the most beautiful buildings ever built in Washington, D.C.”

Responding to a question about Cuba, President Trump expressed hope that an agreement could also be reached with the Cuban government.

“Cuba is calling us. They need help, and we will do it,” he said.

He added that Cuba was a failed state, but the United States could help it whether or not there was a change of government.

The Trump administration has previously described Cuba’s current communist government as corrupt and incompetent and has also indicated support for political change there.

A few days earlier, the US website Axios, citing American intelligence officials, claimed that Cuba, with the help of Russia and Iran, was preparing to identify targets and carry out drone attacks in response to possible US attacks. Cuban officials rejected the allegations, calling them an attempt to create a justification for attacks on Cuba.

KP CM Sohail Afridi

KP CM Sohail Afridi Stopped in Islamabad While Heading to Adiala Jail

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, who was heading to meet PTI founder chairman Imran Khan, was stopped at Chungi No. 26 in Islamabad, leading to a heated exchange with Islamabad Police.

During the exchange with police officials, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said, “You want to break Pakistan. Why are you stopping the representative of 45 million people?”

The chief minister asked a police officer to open the route. PTI workers accompanying him chanted “shame, shame” slogans.

Police placed containers at Chungi No. 26, while the barriers caused serious difficulties for passengers coming from the airport. Due to continuous disruption in the flow of traffic, long queues of vehicles also began forming on the motorway.

Meanwhile, the scheduled time for meetings with the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi at Adiala Jail ended. No family member reached Adiala Jail to meet the PTI founder, and according to the meeting list, no leader arrived either.

According to the meeting list, the names of Barrister Gohar, Salman Akram Raja and Changez Khan Kakar had been sent. The names of Intizar Panjutha, Ali Rehman and Ali Ijaz Buttar were also included in the list.

It is worth mentioning that last week, Sohail Afridi had threatened to adopt a strict approach if a meeting was not arranged.

The district administration had already declared Adiala Jail a red zone. Political convoys, rallies and protests are not allowed outside Adiala Jail, and legal action will be taken over any violation of Section 144.

The PTI founder’s sisters and Sohail Afridi had called on workers to reach Adiala Jail today.
