LAHORE: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Lahore has uncovered a honey trap and cyber blackmail network in a major operation, arresting three suspects during a raid in Multan.
According to an NCCIA spokesperson, the operation was carried out on the special directions of NCCIA Punjab Director Muhammad Ali Waseem.
The spokesperson said the suspects were involved in blackmailing citizens through fake profiles on social media.
During the arrests, NCCIA officials recovered three mobile phones and important digital evidence from the possession of the suspects.
The investigation also revealed that the suspects had received hundreds of thousands of rupees from one of the victims.
