A European Union report has identified the Afghanistan-based terrorist organization Daesh Khorasan as a threat to Europe.

According to a 23-page confidential EU threat assessment report, terrorism and violent extremism remain serious threats to the European Union, and the threat level across the bloc remains high.

The report states that Daesh Khorasan, which is active in Afghanistan, is among the major external threats facing Europe.

It further says that Daesh Khorasan is particularly active in spreading online propaganda, with young people being its main target.
