Swat: A tragic boating accident at the scenic Saifullah Lake in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa claimed the lives of seven members of the same family, while three people remain missing. Rescue and police teams launched an immediate operation following the incident.

According to sources, the accident occurred at Saifullah Lake, located about a two-hour journey from Mahodand in Swat. Eight members of the same family, along with a boatman, were on board a boat when it capsized after reaching the middle of the lake, causing all those on board to fall into the water.

Rescue personnel managed to pull the seriously injured boatman from the lake and shifted him to a nearby hospital. The bodies of seven members of the same family were later recovered from the Mahodand area.

Police said that two more people who were on the boat are still missing, and rescue teams are continuing search operations. Authorities stated that all available resources are being utilized to locate the missing individuals.

The recovered bodies have been shifted to Kalam Hospital after the completion of the necessary legal formalities. An investigation has also been launched to determine the cause of the accident.
