A major development has emerged in the murder case of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Abdullah Tahir, as police arrested a TikToker accused of honey-trapping the slain leader’s driver.
TikToker Maria was arrested by Lahore Police from Sialkot, according to sources. The sources said Maria is a resident of Faisalabad and had been on the run since the incident.
Police sources said Maria was traced through her mobile phone number and subsequently arrested.
According to police sources, the plan to target Abdullah Tahir was carried out with the assistance of two women. The women allegedly assisted the shooters’ gang through social media tools and applications.
Apart from the woman accused of trapping the slain leader’s driver, another woman has also been taken into custody.

Police sources said important information was obtained from the social media accounts of both women. The second woman taken into custody is proficient in the Pashto language.
Police are also working to retrieve deleted data from the mobile phones of both women.
According to police, the two women have provided investigators with important leads regarding the planning and objectives of the targeted operation.
