ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has promoted Lieutenant General Amir Raza to the rank of four-star General and approved his appointment as Commander National Strategic Command.
Lieutenant General Amir Raza, Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Sitara-i-Basalat, has been elevated to the rank of four-star General. The Prime Minister also approved his appointment as Commander National Strategic Command.
Prior to his promotion and new appointment, General Amir Raza had been serving as the Chief of General Staff of the Pakistan Army.
Congratulating General Amir Raza on his promotion and new responsibilities, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended his best wishes and expressed confidence that he would discharge this important national responsibility in the best possible manner.
The Prime Minister’s Office Media Wing also issued an official notification regarding General Amir Raza’s promotion and appointment.
With his promotion to the rank of four-star General, General Amir Raza has been entrusted with a key responsibility in the country’s strategic command structure.
