KARACHI: Police Surgeon Dr Summaiya Syed has expressed helplessness over the Mir Raza Ali case, saying she has never felt so powerless during her four-year tenure overseeing medico-legal services in Karachi.

In a post on social media platform X, Dr Syed wrote: “In my four years overseeing medico-legal services/serving as Police Surgeon in Karachi, I have never felt this helpless.”

She further wrote that she had often encountered obstacles in her pursuit of truth and justice, but this time she was genuinely exhausted and “beyond exhausted.”

It is pertinent to mention that Police Surgeon Dr Summaiya Syed had written a letter to the SP East in connection with the Mir Raza Ali case, pointing out serious flaws in the post-mortem report prepared by Dr Usama Sheikh.
