LAHORE: A sessions court in Lahore has restrained the police from arresting five more suspects nominated in the case related to the police raid on the residence of the Attorney General of Pakistan until August 12.
Additional Sessions Judge Zulfiqar Ahmed heard the interim bail applications. The petitioners argued that the police had registered the case contrary to the facts and that they wanted to present the actual facts before the investigating authorities. They also expressed concern that the police might arrest them and requested the court to grant interim bail.
The court approved the interim bail of the accused until August 12 and directed them to join the investigation.
The accused include woman police officer Seerat Tariq, along with Imran Khan, Salman Khushi, Najaf Ali and Zeeshan Akram.
The case has been registered by Sarwar Road Police Station.
