Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Qaiser has claimed that they had received information that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz was unhappy with the court decision to shift PTI founder Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital.
Asad Qaiser said they had some idea that the government would not accept the Supreme Court’s decision to transfer Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital. He alleged that there were doubts about the government’s intentions because it kept delaying the matter.
He said PTI would file a contempt of court petition in the Supreme Court tomorrow.
Asad Qaiser said they had already anticipated that the government would not easily implement the decision. He maintained that there was no ambiguity in the Supreme Court’s decision and that every aspect of it was clearly stated.
He said they wanted political tensions to come down, but the government had itself worsened the situation. According to Asad Qaiser, the government does not accept the law, Constitution, Parliament or even the courts.
He said they now had only one option: to come out on the streets and bring people out.

He further said the government was refusing to accept the court decision and was turning the country into a “banana republic.” He said they had wanted national unity in the current situation, but the government had affected it.
Speaking during a programme, Asad Qaiser said they had met the Speaker of the National Assembly, the federal law minister and other government representatives. He said they had given the government a positive signal, but the government had turned the situation into a spectacle.
According to Asad Qaiser, Mahmood Achakzai had told the government that he would give a guarantee that Imran Khan would not take revenge against anyone.
He said they wanted to move the country forward according to the requirements of the Constitution and the law.
