ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has announced Pakistan Civil Awards for individuals who have rendered distinguished services in various fields, with a total of 355 people set to receive honours for their outstanding contributions.
According to the announcement, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will be conferred with the Nishan-i-Imtiaz.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Federal Minister Ahad Cheema have also been approved for the Nishan-i-Imtiaz.
Minister of State Bilal Azhar Kayani will also be awarded the Nishan-i-Imtiaz for his services.
Several prominent personalities from the entertainment industry are also among those selected for civil awards.
Singer Tarannum Naz and actress Nisho Begum have been approved for the Sitara-i-Imtiaz, while actor Iftikhar Thakur will also be conferred with the Sitara-i-Imtiaz.
Actress Ghazala Kaifi has been approved for the Pride of Performance Award.
In total, 355 individuals from different fields will be honoured with Pakistan Civil Awards in recognition of their distinguished performance and services.
