KARACHI: An Additional District and Sessions Court South has approved the acquittal application of accused Anmol alias Pinky in a drug case registered at Gizri Police Station and acquitted her of the charges.
According to Express News, the defence lawyer told the court during the hearing that two other accused in the case had already been acquitted. Co-accused Ali and Fahmida were acquitted in 2024.
The defence counsel said Anmol alias Pinky had been implicated in the case on the basis of statements given by the co-accused.
The lawyer argued that following the acquittal of the co-accused, there was no possibility of Anmol alias Pinky being convicted in the case.
It may be noted that the case against Anmol alias Pinky was registered at Gizri Police Station in 2021. She had been an absconder in the case.
