ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have taken strict action against personnel who were absent from duty during the visit of foreign delegations to the federal capital, dismissing 12 officials from service, including two Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs).
According to the details, the dismissed officials include two ASIs and 10 constables. All of them had been deployed at highly sensitive locations for VVIP security duty. However, during an inspection, the personnel were found absent from their assigned sensitive duties without any valid reason.
The dismissed ASIs have been identified as Waqar Ahmed and Abid Hussain. The constables removed from service are Asif, Umar Munir, Hamza, Faizan, Irfan, Ghulam Murtaza, Khurram Shehzad, Tazeem Mushtaq, Asad Islam, and Shehzad Aslam.
The personnel were dismissed from service for negligence of duty after they were found absent from their assigned security responsibilities during the VVIP deployment.
