A lawyer representing Noreen Niazi, the sister of the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has requested a four-week extension regarding her appearance before the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).
Speaking to the media, Faisal Malik said that Noreen Niazi is currently abroad, making it impossible for her to return to Pakistan immediately. He said a request has therefore been submitted to the NCCIA seeking a four-week extension.
According to the lawyer, the address mentioned in the notice issued by the NCCIA was also incorrect, and Noreen Niazi first learned about the matter through social media. He said she would fully cooperate with the agency and that an initial response has already been submitted.
