Islamabad: A severed human leg was discovered in the Karachi Company area of Islamabad, raising concerns among local residents and authorities.
According to media reports, the leg was found in the G-8/2 sector, prompting immediate response from police officers who arrived at the scene to secure the area. Forensic teams were also called in to examine the evidence and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A senior police officer suggested that the severed leg, found near the green belt close to PIMS Hospital, may possibly belong to a patient. The officer indicated that it is suspected hospital staff might have given the amputated leg to the patient’s relatives for burial, but instead it was allegedly disposed of in the deserted green belt.
Police confirmed that an investigation is ongoing from all angles, including contacting PIMS Hospital for further clarification. So far, Safe City cameras in the area have not provided any conclusive evidence related to the case.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as the probe continues.
