Rawalpindi: In a major crackdown, Rawalpindi police have arrested an 11-member gang involved in sharing obscene and pornographic videos through online live streaming.

The arrested group includes both local and foreign nationals. Among them are two foreign men, two Pakistani men, and seven women, including one foreign woman.

Police recovered pistols and ammunition from the suspects, as well as mobile phones, laptops, and other equipment used for live streaming the videos.

Officials said the gang was uploading obscene content on various websites, and a formal case has been registered against all individuals. Investigations are expected to reveal significant details about their network.

Authorities are actively investigating to identify and apprehend other members and facilitators associated with the gang. The investigation is being conducted in coordination with the National Counter Cybercrime & Investigation Agency (NCCIA) to expand the scope of inquiry.

Police emphasized that individuals involved in the exploitation or abuse of women and children will not escape the law, and all lawbreakers will face action without discrimination.

This operation highlights Rawalpindi police’s commitment to combating cybercrime and protecting citizens from online exploitation.
