President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned the National Assembly’s budget session on June 5 at 5pm.

The president has also summoned a session of the Senate on June 5 at 6pm.

According to details, more than 60 members of parliament have travelled to Saudi Arabia this year to perform Hajj. They are expected to return to Pakistan in the early days of the first week of June.

Due to this situation, the government has been forced to make changes to the schedule for convening the budget sessions of the National Assembly and the Senate.

Highly reliable sources told Jang that the government had initially planned to convene separate sessions of both houses, the National Assembly and the Senate, on June 1. However, the sessions are now being called on June 5.
