QUETTA: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Balochistan has arrested 14 individuals during a large-scale crackdown in Quetta against alleged agents linked to various federal institutions for providing illegal facilitation to citizens in official matters.

According to FIA Balochistan Director Bahram Mandokhail, the operation targeted alleged agents associated with NADRA, Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), the Passport Office, and the Metropolitan Corporation. These individuals were allegedly involved in providing unlawful assistance to citizens in various government-related processes.

He said the arrested suspects were allegedly facilitating the issuance of birth certificates, national identity cards, passports, and other official documents through illegal means while charging money from citizens for these services.

The FIA director stated that investigations into the arrested suspects are ongoing. Based on the initial findings, efforts are being made to identify other individuals linked to the network, and more arrests are expected.
