Firing on Sardar Tanveer Ilyas’ Convoy Leaves One Dead, Several Injured

A security guard was killed and several people were injured after unidentified attackers opened fire on the convoy of former Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, who recently joined the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party.

According to Express News, the firing took place at Tain Dhalkot while Sardar Tanveer Ilyas’ convoy was passing through the area.

Reports said that former Special Assistant Sardar Imtiaz Shaheen was among those injured in the incident. Several vehicles travelling in the convoy also sustained damage, with their windows shattered due to the firing.

According to reports, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan was travelling with his convoy to Rawalakot on a two-day visit when the attack occurred.

The security guard who lost his life in the incident was identified as Sardar Asif Yousaf, a resident of Koterah Gorah, Palandri. He had retired from the Prime Minister of Pakistan’s security duty some time ago and was serving as Sardar Tanveer Ilyas’ personal security guard. He died after being shot in the head during the attack.
