12-Year-Old Student Dies After Alleged Assault by Seminary Teacher in Lahore

Lahore: A 12-year-old student has died after allegedly being assaulted by a Quran teacher at a seminary in Lahore’s Burki area. Police have registered a case and launched raids to arrest the accused.

According to police, Quran teacher Ghulam Rasool has been accused of allegedly assaulting the 12-year-old student, Ali Haider, resulting in the child’s death. Police reached the scene after receiving information about the incident and initiated the necessary legal proceedings.

Police said the body of the deceased child has been shifted to a hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

Authorities further stated that a case has been registered against the accused, Ghulam Rasool, and raids are being conducted at various locations to apprehend him.

Police added that the investigation is underway from multiple angles, while further legal action will be taken in light of the post-mortem report and the evidence collected during the investigation.
